On Saturday, I went to a memorial service for Kelly, it was her "Celebration of Life." I don't think I've ever felt so many emotions at one time. I was heartbroken, proud, sympathetic, etc. etc. etc....Being able to see Kelly's parents, hug her brother and be around the people who loved her as much as I did made me realize that I wasn't the only one hurting, I also wasn't the only one who knew that Kelly was in a much better place. Her Mom talked about how Kelly was an organ doner. She was able to donate all of her internal organs, and a lot more and as of Saturday she had saved the lives of 8 different people who needed those organs. That is what made me proud...I was happy to know that Kelly's name will always be remembered. After the service, I pulled out a box of pictures from under my bed and sat on my bedroom floor and laughed and cried, every picture of Kelly and I brought back a memory...something that I will be able to cherish forever.
On a completely different note, I am also celebrating the fact that Corey and I are now homeowners!!! We bought 4 acres of land next to his parents' house a few months back. Our inital plan was to save money and build a house, but with the way things are with the economy these days, that idea was becoming a very distant reality (not to mention we're both still in school). Our next option was to buy a mobile home (which, I wasn't fond of at first) and put that on the property and save for two years and then start building. So, we looked and looked and finally found something worth looking at. Long story short, we bought one that is just the right size for the two of us and good enough to last us for another 2-3 years...not to mention its completely paid for already!
Since Corey has lived on his own before and I haven't, I won the argument that I should live in the house first...and since he loves me so much and he's Corey, he agreed! Needless to say, we are super excited that we have something that is paid for and ours and something else checked off of that "to-do" list! Now, the fun part starts...shopping! I will put up pictures as soon as I take some!

YAY!! HOW EXCITING!! That is so awesome...congratulations!! Hooray for it being paid for too! That's good that you are moving in first--it's good to get the feel of living on your own (sort-of)! PUT PICTURES UP SOON!
